- Structural Analysis Engineer III
Description
Job Summary
Performs advanced structural engineering and analysis tasks to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex systems including mechanical, electronic, and aerospace equipment. Acts as a technical lead on complex projects, ensuring structural integrity, performance, and compliance with engineering standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis, design, and evaluation for complex engineering systems
Lead or support engineering projects involving research, development, testing, and integration
Develop detailed design specifications and perform engineering reviews
Analyze engineering problems and propose solutions and improvements
Conduct site investigations and experimental testing as required
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, logistics, and program management
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, documentation, and test procedures
Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation
Support proposal development and provide technical input on project scope
Interface with clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycle
Participate in design reviews and technical meetings as a subject matter expert
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
Typically 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 2+ years)
Strong knowledge of structural analysis and engineering principles
Experience with engineering tools and computer-based analysis systems
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering problems
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Eligibility for security clearance may be required
