Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Manufacturing Analytics Engineer partners with manufacturing, smart manufacturing, and manufacturing technology teams to develop advanced analytics solutions that improve operational performance. In this role, you will translate complex business challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions and decision support tools that deliver measurable business results. You will serve as a subject matter expert in applying data analytics to manufacturing processes and play a key role in driving adoption of analytics platforms and best practices across Cargill.
Key Accountabilities
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safety is embedded in all activities.
- Collaborate with engineers across manufacturing and pilot facilities to design and deliver advanced analytics solutions that generate actionable insights.
- Translate business needs into descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics models that drive operational improvements.
- Lead and support the adoption of manufacturing analytics tools, standards, and best practices across the enterprise.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in manufacturing data analytics, including chemometrics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Provide technical leadership in data preparation, feature engineering, model selection, and deployment of analytics solutions.
- Guide teams in the effective use of analytics platforms and tools to solve complex manufacturing problems.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering OR equivalent experience
- Previous experience with manufacturing processes and controls
- Process engineering or chemical engineering experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Ability to travel up to 15%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field
- Deep expertise in process analysis software (Seeq, TrendMiner, ProMV, Umetrics, PLS_Toolbox)
- Knowledge of process historians such as PI and IP.21
- Python programming experience
- Familiarity with technologies used in food processing
Compensation Data
The expected salary for this position is $115,000-$140,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first. As part of your overall rewards, we offer a comprehensive benefit program including medical and/or other benefits dependent on the position offered and hours worked. Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
