Position Vision: The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for revolutionizing our PLC/HMI and electrical design systems to set new standards in quality, automation, and scalability. This includes, but is not limited to:
Automated electrical drawings from DryWare outputs
Automated P&ID diagrams from the same data
Automated Bill of Materials (BOM) generation
World-class PLC/HMI programs that are plug-and-play for in-house factory technicians
Fully configurable programs derived from our design automation systems (e.g., drawings andP&IDs)

E – Expectations
To succeed and grow in this role, you’ll be expected to:
Stabilize and streamline our PLC/HMI program for internal projects within 60 days, eliminatingknown bugs and inefficiencies
Lead innovation efforts on control-side automation within 90 days, especially relating to design-to-code integration
Be able to jump on technical support calls at a moment’s notice, troubleshooting and resolvingcustomer issues remotely and same-day whenever possible
Contribute actively to cross-department collaboration, driving better outcomes acrossengineering, production, and service
Model the IAT standard of continuous improvement—always asking, “How can we make this better?”
Future Thinking, this role has the potential to change the trajectory of IAT. We need this person to be a thoroughbred. This person needs to be able to perform at such a high level, they are considered one of the most top performing people in their craft.
Requirements
Must know CAD based drafting software like the back of their hand. First day, you need to be able to jump in a create/modify any electrical drawing with ease.
Must know both ladder logic and function block PLC programming and HMI software. First day, you need to be able to take an existing Carel/Allen Bradley/Automation Direct program and make reasonable edits to it. IE, VFD edits, PID edits. Speaking of PID, you better know your way around the PID loops... ;)
You better know how to use AI, but not soley rely on AI. You need to be an innovator, an thoroughbred, a top performer.
