Description
HNTB's Lake Mary office is seeking a Roadway Engineer III to join our team that works on some of the most complex projects in Florida for FDOT and a variety of local government clients. We are dedicated to enhancing our communities, solving infrastructure challenges for our client.
As a Roadway Engineer III, you will coordinate and deliver transportation engineering projects within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through project closeout. These projects can range from small intersection and multimodal corridor improvement projects to large interchanges, multimodal improvements, low impact bridge construction projects and feasibility projects. Duties include roadway design, development of cost estimates, specifications, corridor modelling, public engagement, and feasibility and express design development. Requirements
What You'll Do:
Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
Assist in the development of project specifications.
Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
Performs quality control reviews of discipline - specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or
Master’s degree in Engineering and 3 year of relevant experience, or
PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience
What You'll Bring:
Exhibits proficiency in applying engineering, geometric and algebraic principles in your work.
Displays proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCad or other software as required for job assignments.
What We Prefer:
FDOT Experience.
PE license.
Knowledgeable in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
