Description
(Attleboro, Massachusetts) Develop and define production process for precision turned components by planning and establishing a sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts and products to promote efficient utilization. Use Special Machining Certificate to determine process monitoring flows, equipment, and labor needs for assigned products, and create process sheets to analyze relevant statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish reliability of finished products. Prepare budgets, processes, and cost improvement suggestions to improve production, and confer with upper-level management regarding improvements to manufacturing capability, products, and production specifications. Use Lean Six Sigma certification expertise to oversee team responsible for completing quality, maintenance, and process functions to develop efficient manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems. Prepare PPAP and process sheets, complete time studies, design methods and processes, and regulate and alter workflows to ensure reliable manufacturing sequences and lead times to maintain expedited production operations. Review production schedules, engineering specifications, and orders to act as technical engineering liaison with customers and suppliers to negotiate equipment, and machine and tool purchases to maximize production quality and efficiency. Salary for position is $126,000.
Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and five years' experience as Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or related position developing and defining production processes for precision turned components required.
