Description
Progressive Midwest company specializing in national client based Industrial installations. Company promotes from within and provides continuing education and training.Requirements:
- Minimum of five years' experience in Industrial installation work.
- Journeyman Electrician's license in at least one state or municipality, preferably Kansas or Oklahoma.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, hand tools, power tools and electrical testing meters. Some knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations.
- Ability to understand and make decisions based on technical documents including blueprints, schematics, and verbal or written instructions.
- Travel is required. Per Diem, mileage and paid travel time provided.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs and ladders and operate lift equipment.
- Possess basic computer skills, including familiarity with Word, Excel and Outlook.
Applicant's work history should include experience with the following typical project aspects:
- Install power distribution equipment and motor control center at 600VAC or less.
- Install supports, racks, and determine routes for rigid conduit with consideration for wire pull points and infeed.
- Configure wire reels and pull equipment for the installation of multiple cables in raceway and equipment without insulation damage.
- Install and troubleshoot PLC-based industrial process control systems, hard-wired relay-based control systems, ability to read technical drawing and control wiring schematics, determine conduit and cable schedules, segregate dissimilar control voltages and signal types, label and terminate control wiring in accordance with project specifications.
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions, temperature extremes, at heights, in dusty environments, and around operational process machinery.
- Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts, such as control panels, electrical wiring, including conduits, wire, outlets, switches, junction boxes, and other components.
- Install electrical panels, breakers, and fuses to ensure that the electrical system is properly grounded.
- Install electrical components in new buildings, during renovation or remodel of existing buildings.
- Install electrical meters and other equipment used to monitor electricity usage.
- Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment.
- Observing safety procedures and meeting electrical codes.
- Perform quality testing and inspections.
Background/drug screen and valid driver's license are required. Salary commensurate with experience.
