Job Overview
The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will support US Government customers with the assessment and authorization (A&A) of information systems within the Risk Management Framework (RMF) in San Antonio, TX.
Job Responsibilities

Support Information System Owners (ISOs) and the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) with the management of information system assets for the full system lifecycle.

Ensure continuous monitoring is performed for all assets, proper scans are performed, and asset status is maintained within tracking software.

Coordinate with coworkers and leadership on cybersecurity, risk posture, and Authorization to Operate (ATO) initiatives.

Manage and track Program of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) focused on remedying identified vulnerabilities and follow up actions.

Perform A&A activities in support of maintaining RMF compliance and asset ATOs.

Develop and present technical reports and briefings including support to the Engineering Review Boards (ERB), other Stakeholder coordination, and leadership status meetings.

Travel as required (estimated 10%).
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related STEM discipline and 10+ years direct experience in cybersecurity

Master's Degree is preferred, but not required

Direct experience with A&A, ATO, and RMF is required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and DOORS is required

Active security clearance (TOP SECRET/SCI w/ Counter-Intelligence Polygraph) is required

Direct experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and A&A for information system assets is desired.
