The data platform team is responsible for ensuring high-quality datasets are onboarded, maintained, and delivered reliably to researchers and traders in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

We Are Seeking: Data Operations Engineer (Python)

This role sits at the intersection of data operations, production support, and automation, focusing on the onboarding, monitoring, and maintenance of datasets used across the business.

You will work closely with internal data teams and external vendors to ensure the smooth operation of data pipelines and infrastructure systems while driving improvements in automation, observability, and operational efficiency.

Experience working with market, research, vendor, or investment datasets within buy-side, hedge fund, asset management, or trading environments is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and automate data operations processes
• Support dataset onboarding and vendor coordination
• Monitor data pipelines and provide production support
• Build dashboards, alerts, and automated checks
• Investigate data quality and operational issues
• Maintain operational documentation and runbooks

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data operations or production support
• Strong Python scripting skills
• Experience supporting production data environments
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Highly Relevant Experience

• Financial, market, research, or vendor datasets
• Production support within data-intensive environments
• Monitoring and observability tooling
• Python-based operational automation
