Surgical Critical Care PA/APRN in Hartford, Connecticut.
Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Surgical Critical Care team at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
Work alongside nine experienced APPs and six Acute Care/Trauma Attending Surgeons to cover surgical, trauma, and neurosurgical patients within a Level 1 trauma system. In this role you will develop and implement critical care plans, perform invasive procedures including central/arterial/dialysis lines, assist with percutaneous tracheostomy/gastrostomy tubes, and coordinate care with consulting services. Members of this team address critically ill patients throughout the hospital to stabilize acutely decompensating patients and take part in the teaching of surgical residents, medical students, and PA students. The team provides 24-7 coverage of the SICU and candidates should expect shared responsibility on overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. The successful candidate for this role should be a detail-oriented team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical critical care environment. PA Requirements: National PA Board Certification and Full CT Licensure
APRN Requirements: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification/ Full CT Licensure/previous ICU experience/minimum 2 years of NP experience.
