Marconi Technologies is a Brooklyn-based manufacturer of mission-critical communications equipment for public safety. We design and build the Auxiliary Radio Communications Systems (ARCS) which is deployed across New York City for the FDNY, it is the RF infrastructure that keeps first responders connected inside buildings when lives are on the line.
We are currently working and developing ARCS 2.0 and expanding our product line to include UPS systems, Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) systems, pool phones, and two-way radio communications systems. We are growing fast and looking for a true technical electronics and RF superstar to grow with us, someone who will build and lead an engineering team around them.
This is a full-time, on-site position. Candidates may be based at our Brooklyn, NY facility or our New Jersey location.
Compensation: Highly competitive and negotiable. If you are the right engineer, salary will not be the obstacle.
Requirements
Strong background in RF, wireless communications, or microwave engineering
Experience with in-building wireless, Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDA), or Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) strongly preferred
Familiarity with public safety radio systems such as P25, UHF/VHF, 700/800 MHz bands
Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, VNAs)
Electronics design experience: schematics, PCB layout, power systems, signal integrity
Proficiency in RF simulation or design tools (HFSS, CST, ADS, or equivalent)
Comfortable working in both a manufacturing/lab environment and in the field
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered
FCC licensing, PE, or BICSI certifications a plus
Ability to work full-time on-site in Brooklyn, NY or New Jersey
