We are looking for a driven and curious Civil Engineering Graduate to support our federal team in a hybrid capacity at either our Boston, MA or Arlington, VA office.
As a key member of our team, you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery. The ideal candidate is one who is passionate about traditional site civil layout, grading, and utility design as well as addressing our country’s water, resiliency, and disaster recovery challenges. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a team environment and coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians on important work for many different Federal Civilian and Department of Defense (DoD) government agencies.
You will work closely with comprehensive design teams and project managers to gain progressive site design experience and total job understanding. You will develop site plans, utility plans, and grading plans to meet Federal design standards; perform watershed analyses and design stormwater management systems; and implement designs that are compliant with a variety of regulatory code requirements and client standards. You can expect to prepare engineering assessments, calculations, and basis of design reports.
To be successful in this position you will need to have an exceptional attention to detail and high standards for quality of work. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and problem solving skills are crucial to this role. You will be expected to continually develop skills by being proactive in advancing your own workflows, systems, tools, and communication techniques.
Although frequent travel is not expected in this position, occasional travel to project and client sites for observations and meetings may be necessary.
You’ll be surrounded by expert mentorship opportunities to help you thrive in your new career. Working together, we’ll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future – big and small, global and local.
