About the College/Unit/DepartmentThe University of Georgia Facilities Management Division is the largest of seven (7) divisions reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration. The exceptional staff of over 900 personnel within the division manage, operate and maintain campus landscapes, buildings and infrastructure to promote the long-term sustainability of the University.

Preferred QualificationsPosition SummaryThis is skilled technical work involving operating, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing building electrical systems and components to include electrical components in other building systems ( HVAC , communications, security, plumbing, lighting, etc.) due to new construction or renovations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies - Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits.
- Ability to understand electric circuit diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals and use same to troubleshoot system problems, make repairs, and install new components.
- Ability to use electric diagnostic test equipment and tools of the electrical trade.
- Ability to understand and apply standard trade practices in performing work.
Physical Demands - Standard requirements of the trade: walking, standing, climbing stairs, stooping, crawling, working with hands above head, working from a standard and/or extended ladder and scaffold, lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Most work is performed inside a building.
