Description
Job Purpose:We are seeking a highly organized and strategic individual to join our team to lead the execution of the Bank's resolution planning programme. The successful candidate will drive projects and management initiatives, from planning and execution to reporting in the context of resolution planning and broader support in the Risk Management Group - Chief Risk Officer team. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, a keen eye for data analysis, and the ability to manage multiple projects to successful completion, ultimately contributing to the Bank's adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for leading and delivering the Bank's resolution planning initiatives, ensuring they are robust, effective, and enhance operational continuity and resiliency in resolution, meeting all regulatory expectations.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert on resolution planning, staying abreast of evolving regulatory guidance and industry best practices.
- Effectively partnering and coordinating with diverse senior stakeholders across various departments to ensure timely and in-scope completion of resolution planning requirements, fostering alignment with regulatory expectations.
- Perform review and challenge of data, generating actionable insights, and producing comprehensive reports and committee materials (agendas, minutes) that directly support informed decision-making by senior management and relevant committees.
- Manage and facilitate interactions with regulators concerning resolution plan submissions, feedback, and ongoing supervisory activities.
- Lead the design, implementation and execution of the Bank's Resolution Planning initiatives to enhance operational continuity and resiliency in resolution.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert on resolution planning, staying abreast of evolving regulatory guidance, industry best practices, and potential impacts on the Bank.
- Partner with cross-functional groups involving senior stakeholders from Legal, Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, Operations, Technology, and Business Lines to deliver Resolution Planning requirements, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Perform review and challenge of data gathered to identify insights and prepare comprehensive reports to inform decision-making by senior management and committees. Produce committee meeting materials including meeting agendas and minutes
- Manage engagement with regulators regarding resolution plan submissions, feedback, and ongoing supervisory activities.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 8-12 years of working experience in Business Risk Management, Operational Risk, Business Continuity Management or Financial Risk. Knowledge and experience of Recovery and Resolution Planning in financial institutions will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency with business management or performance tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Good knowledge of banking activities and operations
- Good quality communication (written and verbal) with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership/management skills with the ability to influence others
