Position Summary: Under direction of a supervisory official, this position will assist in the day-to-day preparation of the design, project control, cost estimating, contract administration, quality assurance, and scheduling and control activities involved in water and sewer construction. This position also coordinates and works with consultants relevant to project requirements in accord with the Authority’s established procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience – two (2) to five (5) years’ proven experience in the construction / engineering field.
  
  
• Education – graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Salary Range: $52,000.00 - $81,600.00

• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
  
  
• Adept at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  
  
• Ability to meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
  
  
• Proficient in understanding and writing specification and plans to ensure that projects are executed in accord with contract documents, schedule and budget.
  
  
• Able to provide high quality job notes, including accurate recording of inspections conducted, personnel on site, delivery of major equipment, causes of delays and job problems.
  
  
• Skilled in written and oral correspondence by producing agendas and minutes and conducting meetings to discuss the design, pre-construction and construction phases of the project.
  
  
• Capacity to work effectively in a team environment of associates, consultants and outside agencies.
