Description
A Multi-Strat Hedge Fund is looking to hire a current or former Portfolio Manager, Trader, Strategist, or Quant Researcher for a unique high‑impact front‑office Risk Manager role. This seat will work closely with PMs to understand and analyze portfolio construction across global markets. Covering the emerging market pods, candidates need to be embedded in the markets with strong expertise in FX and Rates derivatives.Partnering with PMs, they need someone who understands real risk‑taking, not just measurements. You will be discussing trade ideas and providing live market insights to help shape portfolio construction. They are seeking someone coming from the front office to sit in this risk seat, making communication and mindset parallel to the PMs. You will be de‑risking the portfolios, contributing hedging ideas, and working in real time to manage P&L and limit risk. Communication skills are key, as they need this person to be able to block out the noise and communicate trade ideas and parameters to PMs with a clear vision to optimize portfolios.
Requirements:
- 10+ years as a Trader, Portfolio Manager, Trading Strategist, or Quant Strategist at a hedge fund, trading firm, or top tier investment bank; or 10+ years of buy side risk management experience at a hedge fund

- Excellent communication skills and commercial mindset to work closely with PMs across different pods
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or similar quantitative discipline preferred
