- Senior Project Engineer - Structural

Description:Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for an experienced structural engineer to join our San Mateo, California office.
You will have the opportunity to engage with structural design opportunities across both local and national projects in various markets, including healthcare, commercial, office, sports, entertainment, education, and residential. You will also play a direct role in our firm's marketing efforts to cultivate existing and develop future clients.
This position plans, budgets, schedules, manages, and designs projects from start of design through end-of-construction. These projects will typically be larger and/or more complex, so you'll be able to directly utilize your skills and experience but also develop advanced technical skills in specific areas.

The Team
Our structural engineering teams provide custom solutions for new constructions and expansions, with a strong record in notable projects like Coors Field.
Responsibilities
- Assists in conceptual design
- Prepares or assists in fee determination and proposal preparation
- Leads project initiation, management, and closeout processes
- Establishes and follows a QA/QC plan for each project
- Mentors direct reports and assists in their career development
- Attends project meetings and represents company during design and construction
- Participates in billing and collection efforts
- Other duties as assigned
Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture from an ABET accredited engineering/architecture curriculum
- Completed a minimum of 2 years as a Project Engineer or Architect
- 9 years progressive engineering or architectural experience
- 1 year of professional experience equivalencies include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering, OR passing the 16-hour NCEES structural engineering exam
- Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to work in the San Mateo area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.

- Has designed numerous projects and followed them through from start of design to end of construction

Working Conditions, Skills, and Abilities
This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:
- Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
- Remain stationary for long periods of time
- Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
- Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
- Identify color
- Read, communicate, and document in English
- Determine and exchange accurate information
- Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Compensation
The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
- Base Salary: For individuals hired in California, a reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $132,000 to $148,000 annually.
- Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin's annual base salary increase review process.
- Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program.
Base salary review and increases, in addition to annual bonuses, are dependent on various factors, including a hired individual's job-level and annual company performance.
