Salary Range: $105,000 - $132,000

Position Summary:
Responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes utilizing methods such as data analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing, and Demand Flow Technology. Engage with R&D at early design stages to define the manufacturing process in parallel to product development: (process flow, tools, fixtures, documentation)
Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement activities to help approach 100% defect-free manufacturing.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout, including 5S standards.
- Evaluates manufacturing processes by conducting data analysis, design of experiments, and time studies. Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials to facilitate tasks in production.
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods, including product/process validation. Evaluates finished product and process capabilities, establishes standards, and confirms manufacturing processes.
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements for capacity and throughput.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; including yields, defect pareto using statistical analysis.
- Completes training and support to manufacturing operators to ensure the process is followed and running efficiently.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Computer Skills and/or Tools: MS Office, drawing programs (preferably Corel, Photo Shop, AutoCAD, Solid works, or an equivalent program package) MRP/ERP systems and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management Agile, Arena etc.).
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of RF microwave, a plus.
- Experience working with SMT, soldering, wire bonding, die attach, and other electronic assembly techniques.
- Skilled in world-class manufacturing principles such as Just in Time Manufacturing. Design for Manufacturing and Demand Flow Technology.
- Working proficiency in the use of Statistical Process Control.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO-9000 processes and standards
- Ability to maintain and implement systems and processes for certification and audits.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels and functions in the organization.
- Must have a proven track record of solving technical problems, project ownership and meeting deadlines.
- Experience working in a Solid State and TWT power amplifier manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to be a collaborative team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related
Experience:
- 5 years or more job-related experience.
- Experience supporting high-reliability, mission-critical products (preferred)
