We have an immediate need for a Sr. Electrical Engineer for our Syosset, NY location. Come join our team! We are looking to build services and capabilities through the growth of our key asset- our staff. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.
Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, municipal and healthcare facilities.Conduct site visits, inspections, field surveys to support design and construction phases.Preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams and load calculations.Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other team members.Review of submittals and RFIs during construction administrationServe as Project Engineer and Project Manager on smaller, less complex projectsUse engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD)Capable of leading a team of engineers and working independently with little guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.Min 10 years of relevant electrical design experience.Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE).Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.Professional Engineering (PE) license requiredStrong communication and organizational skills.Commissioning experience a plusPreferred Skills:Ability to work independently with general instructions/guidance from senior engineers to produce the expected results Experience with sustainable design and LEED-certified projectsSelf-motivated with the ability to multitask to meet specific project deadlines
