Job Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, facilities, and company assets. This role maintains an on-site security presence, monitors access control and surveillance systems, conducts routine patrols, and responds effectively to incidents and emergencies. The position plays a critical role in preventing security breaches, identifying risks, and supporting business continuity through a professional and consistent security posture.
This is a full-time, fully in-office position.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the safety and security of all onsite personnel, visitors, vendors, and company property
Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols
Monitor and operate access control and video management systems
Maintain daily activity logs and complete detailed incident reports
Greet and assist guests in a professional manner
Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies
Provide security support for special events and initiatives
Enforce all company security policies, procedures, and regulations
Position Contributions
80% Operations & Administration
Maintain on-site security presence
Manage access control and surveillance systems
Execute established emergency response protocols
10% Events & Special Programs
Support internal and third-party events to ensure safe execution and risk mitigation
10% Training & External Engagement
Attend required security training
Maintain relationships with law enforcement and emergency response partners
Requirements
Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma required; college education preferred
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years of security or related experience, preferably in a corporate setting
Prior military, law enforcement, or executive protection experience is a plus
Clean driving record required
Must maintain any required licenses and certifications
Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within six months of hire
Ability to pass a background investigation
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work varied schedules, including day or night shifts and overtime as needed
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Professional demeanor with positive attitude
Proficiency with Windows-based systems and email; experience with access control and surveillance systems preferred
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and adherence to established security procedures
