You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities. Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class.As an Auto Risk Analyst in the Auto Risk team, you will play a key role in shaping our risk acquisition strategies and driving process improvements. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional partners, present insights to senior leaders, and contribute to initiatives that balance risk and reward while enhancing system efficiencies. Together, we'll identify and assess key risk drivers, segment portfolios analytically, and ensure a robust controls environment. By interpreting big data and participating in complex analytic projects, you'll help us deliver proactive credit views and support strategic decision-making across Chase Auto Finance and the broader business.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead complex analytical initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of high-impact analysis
- Apply advanced judgment and independent decision-making to resolve multifaceted business challenges
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams-including modeling, finance, business, 3rd party data vendors, and product to address key business issues and accelerate growth within established risk parameters
- Manage the full lifecycle of analytical projects: from problem identification and objective setting, through data discovery, synthesis, and analysis of large, complex datasets, to formulating actionable recommendations.
- Develop and present clear, compelling presentations to communicate findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- MS or Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related field)
- 8+ years of relevant analytical experience, with a strong understanding of P&L management
- Proven track record in problem-solving, business innovation, and a proactive, agile approach
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects across diverse, cross-functional teams
- Deep expertise in multiple analytic disciplines and a thorough understanding of business drivers and cause/effect relationships
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across departments
- Strong knowledge of consumer risk management, risk policies, control processes, and key metrics
- Advanced technical proficiency in SAS, SQL, and Python
- Highly skilled in PowerPoint and Excel, including advanced use of graphs, charts, and formulas
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Advanced degree preferred
- Experience in Auto Risk Lending is a plus
