Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction and fabrication industry. The successful candidate will develop detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings, field erection drawings, and perform material takeoffs. They will be responsible for ensuring all engineering documentation complies with API standards, meets client and project requirements, and upholds PALA's high standards for safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Utilize engineering software and tools to produce detailed 3D models along with developing fabrication and erection drawings.
- Review client specifications and project documentation to ensure full compliance.
- Coordinate with fabrication, quality, and field operations teams to ensure practical, constructible designs.
- Participate in internal and external design reviews
- Assist in resolving technical issues during fabrication and construction.
- Support continuous improvement of engineering standards, design templates, and internal procedures.
- Maintain organized and accurate engineering documentation for all assigned projects.
- Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or 3 years experience in Industrial & Engineering Technology, Technical Drafting, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or comparable 3D modeling/drafting software.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to pass a drug screen.
Preferred Experience
- 3 years of experience in API 650/620 tank design.
