Description

My client, a global Buy-side with offices in 10+ countries is seeking a seasonedNetwork Security Engineer to join them in Hong Kong. This role is critical in ensuring infrastructure and networks are protected, resilient, and optimized for performance. You'll design and implement security controls, audit configurations, and shape networks across a hybrid compute environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Partner with security, technology, and trading teams to design and deploy solutions that enhance both security and trading performance.
2. Design, implement, and maintain mission-critical trading infrastructure for resiliency and scalability.
3. Reduce network risks using microsegmentation, port-based security, and other methods.
4. Deploy and manage security solutions (firewalls, NDR, IPS, VPNs, etc.) to safeguard systems and ensure reliable remote access.
5. Use automation, AI, and emerging technologies to improve detection and response.
6. Analyze network traffic and packet captures to investigate security incidents and identify improvements.
7. Automate and streamline processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

What Were Looking For:

1. Passion for solving complex network security challenges in a global environment.
2. Hands-on expertise with firewalls, client VPNs, SASE, NDR, and IDS solutions.
3. Strong understanding of TCP/UDP, IP, OSI model, and Layer 14 & 7 protocols.
4. Proficiency in scripting/coding to automate processes.
5. Willingness to take on on-call responsibilities, including nights/weekends.
6. A mindset for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering state-of-the-art security solutions.
7. Strong communication skills to translate technical insights into clear strategies.
