We are recruiting for several exciting opportunities within the Steriles Business Unit, including multiple Manufacturing Operator positions (C Block ISM).
We proudly manufacture 38 different medicines in over 1500 pack variations to treat HIV, Cancer, Infectious Disease, Migraine, Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Asthma, Cold Sore and Acne, to name just a few. We supply to over 130 markets around the world.
Successful applicants will work as part of the Steriles production team which manufacture and fill sterile products.
You will be required to work at 24:7 shift pattern.
In this role you will…
- Manufacture biopharmaceuticals using disposable technologies.
- Dispensing of buffer excipients.
- Removal of materials from -20 and -40 freezers.
- Use of digital systems (MES)
- You will be required to work in a cleanroom environment and display the appropriate aseptic behaviours at all times.
- Filter integrity testing.
- Supporting of filling operations component and finished product processing and IPC checks.
- Cross functional working (MSAT / R&D)
- Manufacture multiple products including legacy products and NPIs.
- Preparation and autoclaving of sterilised machine parts.
- Complete documentation in an accurate and timely manner and work on a variety of computer and automation systems.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Have a minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent pharmaceutical experience.
- Demonstrate the GSK Values: Transparency, respect, integrity, patient focus.
- Previous pharmaceutical manufacture experience.
- Good understanding of digital systems and platforms.
- Meet the GSK Expectations of: Teamwork, courage, development and accountability.
- Be able to apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), explaining its fundamental importance to pharmaceutical manufacture.
- Be able to troubleshoot problems and drive continuous improvement using GPS.
- Have flexibility to work the defined shift patterns.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Previous Steriles experience.
