A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Software Quality Assurance Engineer
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer your day will be spent innovating and delivering test automation solutions, from developing the automation framework to generating test reports and metrics. This is an exciting opportunity to build solutions from the ground up and help accelerate development efforts. Each morning begins with stand-ups to review bugs and track project progress, followed by regression testing, bug tracking, and writing test cases to support both active projects and production environments. You'll execute manual tests as needed to ensure the quality and accuracy of scripts, while maintaining frequent communication with stakeholders and developers regarding enhancements. The majority of your time will be dedicated to building and maintaining the test automation framework, performing proofs-of-concept to determine the best path forward for tooling and architecture, developing and executing automation code, and integrating testing tools within the DevOps pipeline.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related experience in lieu of education
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of various computer software and hardware
- Current, hand-on, 3-5 years of experience in test automation and/or testing frameworks
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Java or C#
SCHEDULE
- Monday-Friday, In-office 5 days a week from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, working from the Phoenix, AZ office location.
