Job Description
We are seeking a full-time, exempt Design Engineer to join our team on-site at our Lighting Division in Starbrick, PA. The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and refining electrical, lighting, and mechanical designs. This role includes prototyping, testing, and implementing innovative solutions to support product development and manufacturing processes. The Design Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with industry standards and customer expectations.

Required Qualifications:

•  Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design
• Strong understanding of Electrical, LED and Mechanical systems
• Experience with Computer-Aided Design (Inventor and AutoCad)
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct prototyping and testing
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

•  Experience with PCBA design and Altium software
• Experience in plastic injection molding design and manufacturing
• Experience in wire/cable specifications and wire harness design and manufacturing
• Experience in FMVSS108 (safety lighting), SAE and similar standards
• Previous experience in the tank truck/lighting industry is a plus
