Position Overview:
We are seeking mid to senior level Cloud Engineers to design, build, and optimize secure, scalable cloud environments that power critical national security missions. This role supports the design and implementation of robust cloud architectures for data ingestion, manipulation, analytics, and visualization—enabling decision-makers to act on complex data with speed and precision.
In this position, you will:
- Design and deploy repeatable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
- Support the migration and integration of data into cloud-based systems.
- Develop automated cloud tools and pipelines to improve performance and reliability.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to tailor solutions to evolving mission and business needs.
- Ensure designs balance stability, scalability, and user experience.
These positions will be part of our Defense and Intelligence Business unit serving the Intelligence Community as our primary customer.
Position Requirements
Required Clearance: a current TS/SCI with Polygraph
Required Education: a degree Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent professional experience)
Required Skills / Experience:

Cloud Certification (Design/Architecture) with one or more providers:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Preferred)

Azure Architect Expert
-
Google Cloud Professional Architect
-

Expertise in:
-
Compute and storage services within cloud environments
-
Cloud networking and security frameworks (e.g., VPCs, IAM, encryption)
-
Serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Run)
-

Database proficiency: SQL and/or NoSQL databases (native or third-party)
-
Data pipeline and ETL tools: AWS Glue, Apache NiFi, or similar
-
Machine Learning in the Cloud: Deploying and managing models using AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or equivalent

Programming & Containerization: Python, Kubernetes, Docker
-
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or equivalent
-
Collaboration: Proven experience leading or contributing to multi-disciplinary technical teams

Communication: Ability to convey complex technical topics to non-technical audiences
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

DevSecOps and CI/CD experience: GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline

Monitoring and Observability: Prometheus, CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar tools

Cloud cost optimization and governance best practices
-
Experience securing data pipelines and AI/ML workflows
-
Experience supporting or modernizing legacy systems in classified environments

Experience with data mesh, data fabric, or advanced analytics architectures
Salary and Benefit Information:
The likely salary range for these positions is $112,000-$180,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and contractual requirements, which could possibly fall outside of this range.
