Job Summary
This position involves maintaining computer and camera surveillance systems across a designated service area. Responsibilities include managing computers, data networks, digital video cameras, recorders, power supplies, and fiber optics. The role focuses on installing, updating, and maintaining hardware and software systems while ensuring accurate asset accountability and detailed maintenance documentation.
The technician will apply advanced electrical theory to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues, using diagnostic tools to calibrate and fine-tune electronic equipment to precise technical specifications.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
Strong foundation in computers, data networks, digital video systems, and fiber optics.
Basic understanding of electronics principles and telecommunications systems, including transmission, broadcasting, switching, and control.
Familiarity with circuit boards, processors, chips, and both hardware and software applications.
Skilled in the use, repair, and maintenance of machines, tools, and electronic systems.
Must be able to obtain and maintain government-issued security clearance.
Valid driver’s license required.
Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time.
